About The Kiwanis Club of Winchester, VA

The Kiwanis Club of Winchester, VA was first chartered on June 23, 1922, and is part of Division (#19) of the Capital District for Kiwanis International.
The Club roster consists of approximately 150 members and represents all aspects of the business, governmental, and charitable community of Winchester and the surrrounding area.
The Club sponsors - four High School Key clubs: three in Winchester - Handley HS, James Wood HS, and Millbrook HS, and the Strasburg HS; three Junior High School Builders Clubs - Daniel Morgan Middle School, James Wood Middle School., and Frederick County Middle School; and the Aktion Club is co-sponsored with the Blue Ridge Kiwanis Club.
Fundraising activities of the Club center around the “famous” Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast that takes place twice per year. Attendance reaches approximately 6000 people for each event. All of the revenues from these and other fundraisers are used in support of the youth of the area - dollar for dollar – through support for local organizations.
The Club also supports the Eugene B. Cooper Student Loan Fund which it has been partially funded by Club donations. The Directors of the Fund are all Kiwanis members who give their time in support of the organizational and financial needs of the Fund.
