Founded and chartered by Kiwanis International in 1922, the Kiwanis Club of Winchester is the oldest and largest club in the northern Shenandoah Valley region. Our mission is to improve the world, one child and one community at a time.
The history of the Kiwanis Club of Winchester is an on-going process and covers over 100+ years – 10 Decades! We are arranging information and pictures in “Decade Order” and constantly adding newly found items. We may show some items on these pages, but most items will be links that have sufficiently descriptive titles.
We have partnered with the Winchester Handley Library to act as our archive. Some items may be noted herein but will mostly be available through the Library’s archive service. As we develop our inventory of pictures, stories, and news we will update this page to provide you with the links to our collected items. For now, pictures of the KCOW presidents from 1922 to 2022 are shown below, as is a YouTube video of these past presidents. Additionally, a sampling of the artifacts we have collected and donated to the Stewart Bell, Jr. Handley Archives is also available for viewing.
